As a mother whose children experienced the public school system, Dr. Metwally also understands education from a parent’s perspective. Her family’s different experiences strengthened her commitment to early support, student mental health, strong family-school communication, and ensuring that students receive the help they need to succeed.
As a candidate for HDSB School Board Trustee in Milton Wards 1 & 2, her priorities include strong academic achievement, safe and supportive schools, stronger family-school partnerships, support for teachers, timely mental-health resources, practical life skills, critical thinking, and preparing students for a rapidly changing future.
